The look of the website was changed urgently on 18th September 2025. The change was not for aesthetic reasons but rather it was there had been a problem with the previous theme and it was preventing part of the site working properly.
London Rail may have a sort of temporary look for the next few days or so!
Main pic is the railway at Paarden Eiland in Cape Town with Table Mountain at left and Lion’s Head visible straight ahead. The Blue Train and other prestige trains often take the suburban route via Century City and Paarden Eiland rather than the main line through Goodwood and Maitland. This is because it is easier to access the trains’ dedicated platform located on the northern side of Cape Town station.
